The LT trim line is the upper-level style in the Express lineup, adding a number of additional comfort and convenience features beyond those of the sparsely equipped LS trims. The LT gains rear climate controls, power windows and door locks, cloth upholstery, cruise control, a tilt steering wheel, and keyless entry. The LT is also eligible for some additional items, like power front seats, alloy wheels, and an upgraded audio system that includes an in-dash six-disc CD changer.

Express 1500 models are powered by a 5.3-liter V8 that generates 295 horsepower and 335 pound-feet of torque. This V8 is teamed with a four-speed automatic transmission. Maximum towing capacity on 1500 models is 6,300 pounds.
