The LT1 is the fourth trim tier in the 2006 Silverado lineup, bundling a generous selection of comfort and convenience features.  Standard equipment includes cruise control, dual-zone climate control, a CD audio system, keyless entry and full power accessories. The LT1 is differentiated from the lower level trims by the addition of an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

The crew body is only available with the shortest of the three Silverado bed options, which measures 69.2 inches. This rear-wheel drive pickup is powered by the second most potent engine available. This 5.3-liter V8 produces 310 horsepower and is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Chevy claims a towing capacity of 9,100 pounds with this power plant.
