The Dodge Ram Pickup 1500 TRX4 was named Peterson's "4Wheel & Off-Road 4x4 of the Year" for 2007.
The TRX4 comes standard with Dodge's 5.7-liter Hemi V8, which makes 345 hp and 375 lb-ft of torque. The Ram's electronically controlled 4WD system switches to a solid front axle, versus the 4x2's independent suspension, and recirculating-ball steering versus the 4x2's rack and pinion. The TRX trims also feature a limited-slip rear axle that allows drivers to disengage power to the rear tires with ease for better on- and off-road performance.
