2005 Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS Sport Summary
The 2005 Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS Sport is new this year and is exactly as its name implies -- a sporty-looking version of the all-wheel drive four-door sedan. A peppy 2.5-liter, 165-hp H4 and 5-speed manual power the compact sedan, and a new 4-speed auto tran is available. 4-wheel ABS brakes, daytime running lights, automatic headlights, 16-inch alloy wheels, and dual front-side airbags are standard, helping earn top ratings from the Insurance Institute. Inside, you'll find full power features, cruise control, a CD player, and intermittent wipers.
The Sport Package decks out the rally-inspired car in racing paraphernalia, including body-colored ground effects and mirrors, sport seats, MOMO leather trim for the steering wheel, alloy pedals, an aluminum shifter knob, and a 6-CD changer. Skid plates, a rear spoiler, and foglights are optional, as is an anti-theft system. Great performance, handling, and a decent engine shine for the 2005 Impreza 2.5 RS Sport Package, but owners dislike the fuel economy.
