2005 Subaru Outback 2.5 i Limited Wagon Summary

The 2005 Subaru Outback 2.5i Limited Wagon gets a longer wheelbase, a new 2.5-liter, 168-hp H4 engine, and new side curtain airbags for both rows of seats.  The rugged, all-wheel drive wagon comes with either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission with sport shift, and its 16-inch alloy wheels with all season tires and limited slip rear and center differentials help tackle rough roads and weather.  4-wheel ABS, dual front-side airbags, foglights, and daytime running lights add further safety features, which win the 2005 Outback 2.5i Limited five stars in all crash tests.  An auto-dimming rearview mirror is optional.

Upgrading from the 2.5i, the Limited adds a large sunroof, leather seats, a power driver's seat, a CD changer, and automatic climate control.  This is in addition to full power features, cruise control, intermittent front and rear wipers, and a trip computer.  A roof rack and rear spoiler are standard, and the cargo area holds up to 66 cubic feet with the split-folding rear seats down.  A cargo cover is also included, but a trailer hitch is optional.  More power and pickup and uncomfortable leather seats are the main gripes from owners, but the 2005 Outback 2.5i Limited impresses with its solid handling, safety ratings, and cargo room.
