There was a segment of Town Car buyers who could not be satisfied by the plush Cartier trim. It was for them that the Cartier Premium was configured.
This extra-loaded edition came stacked with higher-grade leather seating, front-seat heaters, a sunroof, and a premium audio system complete with a subwoofer. These treats were added to an already plush list that included chrome wheels, logo-emblazoned taillights, and a Cartier clock rimmed with gold trim.
Of course, the other huge appeal of this trim was the enhanced performance brought about by a special grouping of sports-tuned parts. Together these components raised the 4.6-liter V8's stable of horses to 235, 15 more than the base 220. This resulted in a somewhat sportier feel to this luxury barge, which pleased those drivers who weren't quite satisfied with the floating feel of the original suspension.
