The LS is the lower of the two main TrailBlazer trim levels, but both can be equipped with the higher performance SS package. The LS comes standard with aluminum wheels, dual-zone manual air conditioning, cruise control, OnStar, a CD player and full power accessories.

The TrailBlazer is powered by a 4.2-liter inline six, generating 291 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque. An optional 5.3-liter V8 is also available, which adds nine horsepower while bumping torque up to 330 pound-feet. Six-cylinder versions max out at 6,200 pounds, while V8 models can tow up to 6,800 pounds.
