2006 Subaru Outback Sport

The 2006 Subaru Outback Sport Wagon is a sporty base model Outback, also sold under the Impreza name.  It comes with basic standard features and a 2.5-liter, 173-hp H4 engine and 5-speed manual transmission.  A 4-speed auto tran is also available.  ABS brakes, all-wheel drive with limited slip differential, 16-inch all-season tires, foglights, daytime running lights, and dual front and side airbags are all standard.

The 2006 Outback Sport comes with full power features, except for power seats.  It does have steering-wheel mounted cruise control, CD player, keyless entry, intermittent front and rear wipers, and an external temperature display.  Front sport seats offer added support, and rear seats split-fold 60/40.  The 2006 Outback Sport also has roof rails, a cargo cover, tie-downs, and a tow hook.  A trailer hitch is optional, and the wagon can tow up to 2000 pounds.  Other options include a short-throw shifter, an auto-dimming mirror, cargo bins, garage opener, a rear spoiler, 6-CD changer, or a leather, carbon fiber, or titanium shifter.  Drivers like the handling, but say the seats are uncomfortable.
