The 2007 Toyota Tacoma features more comfortable front seats, but the truck is otherwise unaltered.  Like all other Tacoma body options, Regular Cab base models can be enhanced with PreRunner styling.  This finish offers the look and suspension of a serious 4x4, but it retains the 4x2 drive type.  All Regular Cab Tacoma models have a 60.3 inch bed.
This model houses a modest 2.7 liter DOHC inline four, providing 159 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque.  Thanks to Toyota's Variable Valve Timing + intelligence technology, which improves fuel economy, this truck should reach into the high 20s for highway mpg.
PreRunners come standard with two 12V auxiliary power outlets, a CD player, telescoping wheel, and cup holders.  Other features can be added through options packages.  The Standard Package adds bucket seats with a center console, sliding rear window, and air conditioning.  Also available is an SR5 package that includes chrome exterior trim, intermittent wipers, and a higher grade seat fabric.
