2007 Toyota Tacoma 2.7L Regular Cab 4WD SB Summary
Toyota's popular line of midsize pickups sees only minor changes for 2007: new front seats and some dashboard design adjustments. This Tacoma takes one step beyond the base model, by adding four wheel drive. The Regular Cab layout includes a five foot bed and bench-style seating for three.
The Regular Cab Tacoma models are powered by a 2.7 liter DOHC inline four, which generates 159 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque. The engine is enhanced by Variable Valve Timing + intelligence, and it is mated to a four speed automatic transmission.
This body style and engine combination offers the best fuel economy, but the inclusion of 4WD drive pulls fuel efficiency down to 19/23 mpg. However, adding 4WD also increases the options availability for this model. The Standard Package can be included, which adds a sliding rear window and air conditioning. The SR5 package is also offered. This group of options is largely appearance-oriented, adding chrome around the grille and rear bumper, metallic-tone instrument panel trim, and a higher quality seat fabric.
