2007 Toyota Tacoma 2.7L Regular Cab SB Automatic Summary

The Tacoma line sees no significant revisions for 2007, aside from new more accommodating front seats.  The four cylinder Regular Cab Tacoma models are the entry point for Toyota's expansive line of midsize pickups.  These are the most modestly priced and fuel efficient offerings, but they are also the most sparingly equipped.  A four speaker CD audio system is the only noteworthy standard convenience feature.
All Regular Cab Tacoma models have a 60.3 inch bed, and seating for three.  This cab layout can also be upgraded to the PreRunner style.  These Tacomas are powered by a 2.7 DOHC inline four, which produces 159 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque.  The engine is mated to a four speed automatic transmission, and a five-speed manual is also available.  Regular Cab models are also offered as a V-6, which brings forth new transmission options.  Thanks to the inclusion of VVT-i, this truck will reach EPA marks of 21/27 mpg.
This Tacoma is not intended for any heavy duty use.  With the automatic transmission, it has a maximum payload of 1380 pounds and a towing capacity of 3500.  No towing upgrades are available with the four cylinder engine.
