2007 Toyota Tacoma V-6 Access Cab 4WD SB Manual Summary
The new Tacoma does not receive any significant changes for 2007, but the front seats have been upgraded. Toyota has had great success with the mid-size Tacoma, specifically with the recently added Access Cab design. Access Cab models are the next generation of the Extended Cab, adding two smaller rear doors that open in the opposing direction. This allows much easier passage to and from the rear seats, and also makes the cab easier to load with with cargo.
On this model, Toyota pairs their 4.0 liter V-6 with a six-speed manual transmission. The 4WDemand system is also included, giving this Tacoma a very desirable combination of features. The engine provides the 4000 pound truck with 236 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque, and it is further supported by Variable Valve Timing + intelligence technology. VVT-i offers several benefits, including increased power, lower emissions, and improved fuel efficient. The addition of the manual transmission will bring highway mpg up around 20.
With the exception of seat-mounted side and front/rear side curtain airbags, every available safety feature is standard on this model. This includes ABS, front airbags with Toyota's Advanced Airbag System, and a child restraint system.
