2007 Toyota Tacoma V-6 PreRunner Access Cab 2WD SB Automatic Summary
The Toyota Tacoma undergoes only minor changes for 2007. Notable revisions include improved front seat comfort and some simple changes to the dash. There are eighteen Tacoma models to choose from, thanks to a multitude of engine, drive train, cab size, and bed length combinations. All cab sizes are offered with the popular PreRunner styling, which gives the mid-size pickup a bolder look. All PreRunners are 4x2s.
On this model, Toyota combines the PreRunner design with the Access Cab body and the more potent V-6 engine. The Access Cab label signifies an extended cab with the addition of two smaller rear doors which allow easier entrance and exit for rear seat passengers. The power plant is a 4.0 liter DOHC V-6, providing 236 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired with a five speed automatic transmission, and supported by Variable Valve Timing + intelligence technology.
The upgrade to the V-6 engine increases option package availability. The SR5, TRD Sport, and V-6 towing packages can all be added to this model. SR5 is primarily a styling upgrade, with a few added convenience features. The TRD packages are performance-oriented. All Access Cab PreRunners come standard with 16 inch wheels, a full size spare, air conditioning, and a CD player.
