2007 Toyota Tacoma 2.7L Access Cab 2WD SB Manual

Toyota has spent an abundance of time over the last decade researching and categorizing truck buyers based on their needs and wants.  The Japanese automaker intends to provide a truck for everyone, even if a multitude of model variations are needed.  For 2007 there are 18 different Tacomas and 31 unique Tundras.  
While this model adds the larger access cab, it is powered by a modest 4-cylinder engine, driving the rear wheels.  This configuration limits the availability of performance oriented add-ons like the TRD off-road or TRD sport packages.  As the Tacoma grows in size, more standard features become available.  The regular Cab model is fairly stripped, and the Access Cab includes a better audio system and air conditioning.  Many additional convenience and power features become standard on the Double Cab.
This Tacoma is powered by a 2.7 liter DOHC inline four, which produces 159 horsepower and 180 pound feet of torque.  It is mated to a five speed manual transmission.  This model is also available as a V-6, and both engines are supported by Variable Valve Timing + intelligence technology: a TRD system which enhances power while lowering emissions and improving fuel efficiency.  This Tacoma variation is a light duty truck.  It comes standard with 15 inch tires, and it will only tow 3500 pounds.
