This Tacoma offers what many truck buyer may find to be the ideal blend of available Tacoma features.  This configuration combines the V-6 engine, four-wheel-drive, Double Cab layout, and a longer bed.   The bed length is extended from the standard 60.3 inches to just over 73.  This makes it the largest Tacoma.
The Double Cab models feature four full size doors opening in the ordinary fashion, verses the Access Cab's smaller rear doors which open suicide-style.  Double Cab Tacomas add features like keyless entry, power windows, power locks, and higher quality fabric.  All 4WD models can be equipped with the TRD Off-Road option package, which includes trail-oriented suspension and tires, a locking rear differential, and front tow hook.
All Double Cab Tacoma models are powered by a 4.0 liter V-6, which makes 236 horsepower and provides 266 pound-feet of torque.  It is enough power to warrant the availability of special towing package, but towing capacity will not exceed 6500 pounds on any model.  If the Tacoma includes the longer bed, it is only available with a five speed automatic transmission.
