The Tacoma was redesigned in 2005 and has seen little change since.  For 2007, the front seats are improved and there are some minor adjustments to the dash.  The PreRunner name signifies an aggressively styled 4x2 Tacoma, which can be fitted to cab size.  The Double Cab features four full-size doors and seating for five.  This variation expands the bed length by over a foot, from 60.3 to 73 inches.
This model is available with only a V-6 and 5-speed automatic transmission.  The 4.0 liter V-6 is supported by Variable Valve Timing + intelligence, which increases engine power, lowers emissions, and improves fuel efficiency.  The 3900 pound truck is supplied with 236 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque, and will earn an EPA rating of 19/22 mpg.  
This PreRunner Double Cab sits at the higher end of the Tacoma price spectrum, but it is well equipped for a mid-size pickup.  Standard features include air conditioning, CD player, rear cup holders, power windows, and power door locks.  Both TRD packages are available as options.
