Powered by a 1.6-liter, 110-hp I4 engine and choice of 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission, the 2007 Kia Rio5 SX wagon is a sporty hatchback that shares many characteristics with the new SX sedan. The front-wheel drive 5-door hatch seats four and sits on 15-inch wheels, though 16-inch alloys are an option. Standard features include air conditioning, intermittent wipers, a rear defrost, and a rear window wiper (not on the sedans). Six airbags, a front console, tilt steering wheel, and leather steering wheel and shift knob are also included, just like in the SX. Chrome interior trim is new for 2007.
Being a wagon, the 2007 Rio5 also includes a light in the cargo area. A rear spoiler is also standard. ABS brakes and power features (windows, locks, and heated mirrors) are options on every Kia Rio, and the Rio5 is no exception. Cargo area is 49.5 cubic feet with the seats folded down and 15.8 cubic feet with the seats up.
