A bit more engine power makes the 2007 Kia Sportage LX 2WD V6 a better performer on the road, particularly in the acceleration department.  This front-wheel drive compact SUV with seating for five is powered by a 2.7-liter, 173-hp DOHC V6 engine matched with only a 4-speed automatic transmission.  It has many of the same features as the LX I4 trims, such as power locks, windows, and mirrors, tilt steering, ABS brakes, traction, stability, and six airbags, front and overhead console, rear wiper, and intermittent wipers.  But the LX 2WD V6 adds cruise control.
Rear seats recline and fold flat, for nearly 67 cubic inches of cargo space.  The cargo area comes with tie-downs, and a cargo tray is an optional feature.  Other options on the 2007 Sportage LX 2WD V6 include a new Sport Package, which offers fog lights, dark cladding and a black grille, a rear spoiler, sports gauges, keyless entry, leather trim, and an MP3 player.  A tow hitch and remote start are other add-ons.
