2006 Hummer H3 4dr SUV 4WD Summary
The little brother to the H1, the 2006 Hummer H3 is not so little. The full-time AWD mid-size SUV distributes torque 60/40 automatically, but has four settings for different road conditions. A 3.5-liter, DOHC I5 gets 220-hp with either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic. The 2006 H3 rides on 16-inch wheels with all-terrain tires, and has a center differential, low-range gearing, front and rear stabilizer bars, dual front airbags, traction control, skid plates, and dual front airbags. Stability control is optional with the auto tran only, and other options include a locking differential, firmer suspension, and off-road tires.
The interior of the H3 is comparable to most family SUVs, with full power features, cruise control, a CD player, dual-zone climate control, OnStar, intermittent wipers, a front power outlet, and keyless entry. Automatic headlights, foglights, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and daytime running lights add extra safety. A roof rack and tow hooks are standard for the H3, which can tow only 4500 pounds. A trailer hitch is available, as are tie-downs and a cover for the cargo area. Options include a sunroof, power seats, heated leather seats, navigation system, CD/MP3 player, and satellite radio.
