2006 Hummer H1 Alpha Base Summary
The 2006 Hummer H1 Alpha Base is a four-wheel drive wagon equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels with all-terrain tires, a limited slip front and rear differential, and front and rear double wishbone suspension. Standard skid plates, run flat tires, and a 16-inch ground clearance ensure its toughness and confidence in most off-road situations. A new 6.6-liter, 300-hp diesel V8 engine and new 5-speed auto tran sit under the hood. 4-wheel disc and ABS brakes, traction control, and a tire monitor are also standard, but there are no airbags. An interior button allows you to regulate tire pressure depending on the driving situation.
Heated front captain's chairs are decked out in leather, and the 2006 H1 Alpha Base also offers cruise control, full power features, a 6-CD changer, intermittent wipers, leather and alloy trim, keyless entry, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. Standard trailer wiring and a hitch allow up to 9300 pounds of towing capacity. The two rows of seats are cramped, with less than 30 inches of legroom in back, and the trunk holds up to 58 cubic feet of cargo. The rear window does not open separately from the liftgate. The only major options are locking front and rear differentials, available in an Off-Road package.
