2005 Land Rover LR3 HSE Summary
The upper tier HSE is only available with the larger of two LR3 engine options. This Jaguar-engineered 4.4 liter V8 makes 300 horsepower and 315 pound-feet of torque, and it is mated to an adaptable six-speed automatic transmission. Land Rover's Terrain Response 4WD system allows the driver to choose one of five settings (general, snow-grass-gravel, mud and ruts, sand, and rock crawl). Each setting includes special adjustments for throttle response, stability control, and the differentials. Fuel economy is estimated at 14/18 mpg.
Features upgrades on the HSE include 19-inch alloy wheels, an upgraded fourteen-speaker 550-watt Logic 7 digital surround audio system, a navigation system and rear parking sensors. HSE models seat seven, due to an optional third row seat, verses the SE's five-passenger capacity.
