The 2005 RSX had its 2.0-liter I4 engine tuned to offer 10 more horsepower, increasing it to 160.  Much to the disappointment of many drivers, the torque remained the same at 141 lb-ft.

Gas mileage for the 2005 RSX is estimated at 27/34 for the 5-speed manual transmission and 25/34 for the 5-speed automatic.

Many have complained about the lack of power in the hatchback, saying the Type S is a better value.  Handling on both trims is excellent.
