2006 Jaguar XJ-Series Super V8

The Super V-8 is priced about $10,000 above the luxurious Vanden Plas, but still falls about $25,000 short of its limited edition companion, the Super V-8 Portfolio. The Super V-8 is built on the longer 125 inch wheelbase, and blends all of the super luxury touches of the Vanden Plas with a supercharged engine.

Standard features include 19-inch wheels, a  new more refined braking system, radar-apative cruise control, four zone climate control, navigation system, front and rear park control, a rear seat DVD entertainment system with display screens in the front headrests, and the VP's fold-down picnic tables.

The Super V-8 is powered by a supercharged version of the 4.2 liter DOHC V-8. This aluminum engine delivers 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque, and is mated to a six speed automatic transmission, featuring the J-Gate shifter.  The Super V-8 rockets from o to 60 mph in just five seconds.
