2006 Jaguar S-Type 4.2

Jaguar's S-Type has seen little change since its 2000 introduction, and it is now rumored that the mid-level sedan is nearing the end of production.  The popular S-Type pays tribute to classic Jaguar styling with its seemingly unique hood, light, and grille designs.  

The V-8 engine is a bit more powerful this year, and Jaguar has also revised the braking system.

The standard equipment list for this model is a bit longer than that of the 3.0L variant. Full power accessories, leather seats, a moon roof,  dual zone climate control front park control, xenon headlights, an upgraded sound system, and a DVD navigation system are all included.

This model is powered by a 4.2 liter DOHC V-8 engine, which produces 300 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque, sending the mid-size sedan  from 0 to 60 mph in just over seconds. Fuel economy is estimated at 18/26 mpg. The V-8 is also paired with the six speed automatic transmission.
