2007 Toyota Tundra 4x2 Regular Cab V-6 Summary

This is the base model for the vast 2007 Tundra lineup.  From this entry point, the Tundra can be built up with variety of engine, drive train, cab size, options package, and trim level combinations.  There are over 30 Tundra models in all.  The V-6 engine will only be available on a select group 4x2s.
The base Tundra combines a five speed automatic transmission and 4x2 drive train with a 4.0 liter DOHC 24-valve V-6.  The engine includes the Variable Valve Timing + intelligence system, which was developed by TRD and originally used in Lexus.  VVT-i works to increase engine power while improving fuel economy and lowering emissions.   All Tundras will earn a ULEV low emissions rating, but this is the most fuel efficient.  Toyota offers an estimate of 17/20 mpg.
The arrival of this new Tundra will signify the beginning of the second generation of Toyota's full size pickup.  Between 2000 and 2006, the truck saw little revision.  It has now been totally redesigned for 2007.  The cabin, regardless of the model, is still essentially the same and with many car-like qualities and comforts are visible.  Many new features are available on higher level models.  On the outside, the Tundra has grown larger than ever; adding 10 inches in length, and 6 inches in width and height.  The product of the expansion is a more aggressive and powerful overall appearance.
