The Crew Max name replaces Crew Cab for the second generation of the Tundra. Toyota's full size pickup grows in all directions with this redesign, and the Crew Max is the largest of them all. What this full four door pickup gains in interior space, it loses in bed length. However, there are rumors about a monstrous long bed Crew Max for late 2007, which would extend the overall length by nearly three feet.
Because of this truck's size, it is only offered with the two larger V-8 engine choices. The 4.7 liter V-8 will lend 271 horsepower and 313 pound feet of torque to the 4800 pound truck. The V-8 is mated to a five speed automatic transmission and 4x2 drivetrain.
Upgrading to the Crew Max cab layout will allow buyers to include many luxury add-ons. A rear seat DVD entertainment system is only available on this four-door Tundra, while a premium JBL audio and DVD-based navigation can also be added.
