This Tundra is very much the traditional on-road pickup.  The Regular Cab layout is the smallest available on any Tundra, with a three-seat bench replacing the center console.  Toyota aims to meet the needs of all truck buyers, and over thirty different configurations of their full size pickup are available for 2007.  On this model, the 6.5 foot bed is replaced  by a full eight-footer.
The same V-8 continues from the previous model year, although nearly everything surrounding it has been redesigned.  This V-8 will produce 271 horsepower and 313 pound-feet of torque.  The engine is mated to a five speed automatic transmission.  The 4900 pound truck can be equipped with a special towing package that allows it to pull 8400 pounds and carry a payload of 1920.
This 4x2 pickup is driven by the rear wheels, and handling should improve thanks to a six inch increase in track width.  The truck also expands in length and height, now to 230 inches long and 76 inches tall.  All long bed models will add almost twenty inches in wheelbase.  The Tundra also receives new exterior styling, for a bolder overall presentation.
