2007 Toyota Tundra 4X4 SR5 Double Cab LB 6-Speed Summary

In addition to a powerful new engine, added efficiency technology, a refined transmission, and a sleek trim package, the Tundra SR5 Double Cab will go one step further.  It is also available with an eight foot bed.  This model is already being praised as the ideal combination of all Tundra's available features and configurations.  It boasts the largest cab size of any long bed model.
The Double Cab is available with all three of the Tundra engine options,  A 4.0 liter V-6 is the entry point, and a 4.7 liter V-8 is the upgrade.  This version is powered by the new 5.7 liter V-8 with Variable Valve Timing +intelligence.  This all aluminum engine generates 381 horsepower and 401 pound-feet of torque.  It's enough power to propel the 4000 pound truck from 0 to 60 mph in just over six seconds, and allow for 10,000 pounds of towing.  Not at the same time.  All of the 5.7 liter V-8s are paired with a new six-speed automatic transmission, and thanks to VVT-i, fuel economy can be expected around 20 mpg on the highway
With the full bed and extended cab, the Tundra will stretch to nearly twenty feet.  For the second generation, the Tundra is also wider.  Now at 80 inches, the full size truck presents a more muscular build than before.  More power and bolder looks are complemented by stronger steel and larger brakes.
