2007 Toyota Tundra 4X4 SR5 Crew Max 5-speed

The new Crew Max badging on this second generation Tundra signifies the full four-door cab layout.  This new label replaces the Crew Cab.  Unlike the Regular Cab and Double Cab Tundras, the Crew Max is only available with two engine options, both V-8s.  This cab configuration can be complemented by either the SR5 or Limited trims.
This model is equipped with the medium engine option: a 4.7 liter V-8, producing an estimated 271 horsepower and 313 pound-feet  of torque.  If VVT-i technology is eventually added to this engine, horsepower and torque numbers may rise a bit.  This V-8 is paired with the 5-speed automatic transmission.  The new Tundra grows in every dimension: to 230 inches long, 80 inches wide, and 76 inches tall.  The previous Crew Cab tipped the scales at over 5000 pounds.  Added size may tug down slightly on fuel efficiency and performance specs, but no numbers have been released yet.
The 4.7 liter Crew Max is available with all standard features of the more expensive 5.7 version.  Safety features like four wheel disc brakes, front/passenger and side curtain airbags, and traction control are standard on all models.  The 4.7 liter version can not tow 10,000 pounds like the 5.7 liter Tundra.  Consequently, the extended tow mirrors are not available on this version.
