A little more elegant feel is offered by the 2006 Buick LaCrosse CXL. It shares the 3.8-liter, 200-hp V6 engine and 4-speed automatic with the base CX, but the 2006 LaCrosse CXL adds automatic cliimate control, alloy wheels, leather seats, and a standard 60/40 split-fold rear seat for extra cargo utility. ABS brakes and traction control are standard. Dual front-side airbags are also standard and in 2006 are joined by side curtain airbags. Daytime running lights are another safety feature.
Interior standard items you gain with the CXL are a compass, and wood and leather trim. The CXL of course has a full set of power features, including a power driver's seat, cruise control, OnStar, nd a security system. An optional front bench seat can fit three passengers or add a center console. QuietTuning technology is supposed to keep the sedan quiet from road noise and shudder. A few more option packages come with the 2006 LaCrosse CXL, including CD changer with MP3 compatibility, parking sensors, heated mirrros and seats, and a power passenger seat. Audio and air conditioning controls can also be placed on the steering wheel.
