2006 Chrysler Town & Country Touring Summary
Chrysler's popular Town & Country minivan gets some safety upgrades for 2006, including a reinforced roof and improved side-curtain airbags. There are no significant styling or features changes. The Town & Country continues to be a leader in its class, highlighted by a powerful V-6 engine and very flexible cabin and cargo configurations through "Stow 'N Go" seating.
The Touring trim lifts the Town & Country into a higher class. The base and LX models are similar to eachother, but the Touring is differentiated by a myriad of additional luxury and convenience features, along with a significantly higher price tag. Touring standard features include dual power-sliding doors, a power rear liftgate, three-zone climate control, a premium audio system, and a power driver's seat. The Touring T&C offers 144 cubic of cargo space, thanks to Chrysler's innovative "Stow 'N Go" flat-folding seats.
The Touring Town & Country is powered by a 3.8 liter V-6, which produces 200 horsepower and 235 pound-feet of torque. The larger V-6 is mated to a four speed automatic transmission, and offers a towing capacity of 3500 pounds. Fuel efficiency reduces slightly, now at 18/25 mpg.
