2006 Chrysler Town & Country LX Summary
The Chrysler Town & Country includes receives a few minor revisions for 2006, but is a carry-over in most respects. The side-curtain airbag design has been improved, and the roof has been reinforced.
Standard features on the LX include heated power mirrors, keyless entry, cruise control, full power accessories, a CD sound system and air conditioning.
Chrysler's "Stow 'N Go" seating has also been added to this longer-wheelbase model, complete with flat-folding second and third row seats. The second row bench is replaced by two captain's chairs on the LX.
The LX is powered by the smaller of two Town & Country engines. The 3.3 liter DOHC V-6 is paired with a four-speed automatic transmission, and delivers 170 horsepower and 200 pound-feet of torque. Fuel efficiency is estimated at 19/26 mpg for models with this 3.3 liter engine.
Most owner complaints are focused on build quality and reliability issues. A more stable suspension, smoother transmission, and more powerful engine were all at the top of LX drivers' collective wish list.
