The Town & Country base model is called the STD, and was originally offered at about $15,000 than the top shelf model.  In 2004, it replaces the discontinued eL as the most affordable model.  It is one of only two Town & Country variants to house the 3.3 liter, 180 horsepower V-6.  The STD will tow 2000 pounds.

STD standard features fall short of the "high value" eL, but this entry level minivan is still generously equipped.  Highlights include keyless entry, full power accessories, cruise control, a CD audio system and air conditioning.
