The Chrysler Sebring Convertible would not return for 2007, following a full redesign of the entire lineup. All current Sebring models are now sedans; the coupe was discontinued after 2005. Four convertible variants were available for this final year of the first generation, with the Limited positioned at the top. This upscale model was the most expensive Sebring in 2006.
The Limited Convertible is equipped similarly to its sedan counterpart, but a premium Infinity sound system and auto-dimming mirrors have been added. Standard features include air conditioning, cruise control, full power accessories, and a power folding top. ABS is an exclusive safety feature for this Limited trim convertible, and overall safety ratings are in the 'acceptable' range.
All of the Sebring upper level trims are powered by a 2.7 liter V-6, which generates 200 horsepower and 190 pound-feet of torque. A four speed automatic transmission sends power to the front wheels on all models.
The Convertible offers seating for four, but its tight rear quarters has been a common owner complaint.
