“Love my car - best investment I ever made! Runs like a top, handles like it's on rails... There is nothing bad to say about it. I've owned everything...
”
The Chrysler Sebring returns for 2006 with little change. A full design would follow for 2007, and this popular convertible model would be dropped. This Base model is the entry point of four trim levels, costing about $3000 less than the upscale Limited trim.
The Base Convertible receives a few additional standard features beyond that of the Base sedan, including a six-speaker CD audio system. Air conditioning, cruise control, power windows and power locks are included with both bodies. ABS, a power driver's seat, and Sirius Satellite radio are all optional on this model.
This entry-level Sebring Convertible houses a 2.4 liter DOHC four cylinder engine, which is teamed with a four speed automatic transmission. This small engine provides 150 horsepower and 160 pound-feet of torque.
While most owners have found the Sebring to be an attractive and adequately performing mid-size convertible, many express concerns about the car's overall safety. ABS is an expensive option on this model, and safety equipment is not up to par with many of the more modern Japanese competitors.
