New for 2007, the Porsche 911 GT3 was powered by a 3.6-liter, six-cylinder engine that produced 415 horsepower, driving the vehicle from 0 to 60 in 4.1 seconds. The engine was linked to a six-speed manual transmission with a short-shift gear lever for fast, accurate gear selection. No automatic or Tiptronic transmission was available for the GT3.
Standard features included a three-spoke GT3 steering wheel with a slightly padded Alcantara rim, sport seats with Alcantara inserts, power windows with an anti-jam feature, cruise control, automatic climate control with carbon filtering, an on-board computer, and a Porsche Communication Management system with a navigation module.
Also part of the package were 19-inch GT3 wheels, traction control, Porsche's Active Suspension Management system for selectable suspension modes, an anti-theft alarm system, dual front advanced airbags, and Bi-Xenon headlights.
