The 2007 Nissan Xterra Off-Road is a four-wheel drive SUV that is geared towards true off-roading performance, or at least more than is recommended for the other Xterra 4WD models.  The 2007 Xterra Off-Road features much stronger shocks and 16-inch off-roading tires with alloy wheels.  It also comes standard with Hill Descent Control, which regulates downhill speed and traction so you don't have to press on the brakes constantly.  Hill Start Assist is also standard on the Xterra Off-Road, which helps prevent rollback.
The 2007 Xterra Off-Road comes with a 4.0-liter, 261-hp V6 engine and a choice of 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic transmission.  ABS, traction and stability control, a tire monitor, fog lights, skid plates, running boards, and dual front and side airbags are standard.  Side curtain bags are extra. It does not come with a trip computer or the upgraded audio system in the SE, but it offers the same power features, cruise control (with controls on the wheel), a leather-wrapped wheel, keyless entry, and the folding front passenger seat.  Satellite radio, a cargo organizer and cargo cover, and the SE audio system are options.
