The 2007 Nissan Xterra SE 4X2 is the top-line model in the lineup of this small SUV. Featuring two rows of seats for five people, the 207 Xterra SE is rear-wheel drive. It features the 4.0-liter, 261-hp V6 engine, but comes only with a 5-speed automatic, as it is geared more towards driver comfort and hauling kids than outdoor adventure. ABS brakes, traction and stability control, a tire monitor, and dual front and side airbags are all standard. On the SE only, you'll also find fog lights.
The 2007 Xterra SE 4X2 has a lot more convenience features than the lower trims. These include larger 17-inch wheels and running boards. Inside, you'll find a trip computer, security system, remote locks, audio controls on the steering wheel, and an updated audio system with MP3 compatibility. Satellite radio is an option on the SE. This is in addition to the intermittent wipers, cruise control, and power accessories of the other models. A cargo net and folding front passenger seat are also standard in the Xterra SE, for more storage configurability. A leather-wrapped steering wheel adds an elegant touch. Poor gas mileage and a easily dinged interior are the most common complaints.
