Essentially just a four-wheel drive version of the base model, the 2007 Nissan Xterra X 4X4 is a five-person SUV that offers the bare-bones basics of what you want in a people hauler. The 4WD gives it much more capability in varying road and weather conditions. It is powered by a 4.0-lier, 261-hp DOHC V6 and a choice of 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic. Like the rear-wheel drive, it comes standard with ABS brakes, a tire monitor, traction and stability control, and dual front and side airbags, and gets well rated in crash tests.
Standard equipment parallels that on the rear wheel drive. The 2007 Xterra X 4X4 comes with air conditioning, CD player, intermittent front and rear wipers, defrost, a roof rack, cargo tie-downs, and 60/40 split-folding rear seats. Cupholders and storage compartments appear in both front and back rows. You can get power windows, locks, mirrors, and keyless entry through a Power Package. Splash guards are also optional.
