Fast, fun, agile, mean, way too much torque. Very affordable when compared to competitors. None of those fancy gadgets and toys can be found here... g...

2006 Subaru Impreza WRX TR Summary

The brand new 2006 Subaru Impreza WRX TR is the more affordable, stripped down version of the WRX sedan, still with a turbocharged, 2.5-liter DOHC H4 that hits an upgraded 230-hp, but with less internal features.  A 5-speed manual is the only transmission offered.  The all-wheel drive compact sedan features a stiffer suspension, sport seats, and stronger brakes.  4-wheel ABS brakes, a limited slip center and rear differential, electronic brakeforce distribution, a fully independent suspension, daytime running lights, and dual front airbags are standard.  New this year are smoked headlights, a dual-stage airbag deployment, and a revised front grille and headlights.  The 2006 Impreza WRX TR has larger 17-inch wheels with all-season tires.

Though "stripped down," the WRX TR is as well equipped as the 2.5i, with full power features, wheel-mounted cruise control, leather trim, intermittent wipers, remote locks, a CD player, front power outlet, multiple storage consoles, and a temperature display.  As with all the Impreza sedans, the rear seats do not split-fold for more cargo room.  The trunk holds 11 cubic feet.  Options are similar to the 2.5i and include a security system, skid plates, foglights, alloy interior accents, a rear spoiler, and a CD changer.  The 2006 Impreza WRX TR can also be equipped with an auto-dimming rearview mirror.  Its 4-star crash ratings, combined with a sporty ride, quick off-the-line action, and crisp handling help make the TR a driver favorite.  A premium gas requirement and lack of features are the major complaints.
