This 3.0 liter sedan is the entry point for the 2001 S-Type lineup.  This lower priced model is powered by a 3.0 liter, 24-valve DOHC V-6.  This engine produces 240 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque, and is mated to a five-speed automatic transmission.  With the V-6, this sedan will travel from 0 to 60 mph in 8.7 seconds, and turn the quarter mile in 16.8.

Standard features include heated mirrors, keyless entry, wood trim on the steering wheel and shift knob, leather upholstery, a trip computer, dual-zone climate control and automatic headlamps.  A CD changer is optional.
