Named for NASCAR champion Darrell Waltrip, the 2007 Toyota Tundra DW takes its cues from the Double Cab trims, but comes standard with the 4.7-liter, 271-hp V8 that delivers 313 ft-lbs of torque at 3,400 RPM. A 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic is the transmission choice.
Available in either 4WD or rear-wheel drive, the pickup features traction and stability control, dual front-side and side curtain airbags, 4-wheel disc and ABS brakes, mirrors with turn signals, rollover sensors, a tire monitor, and 17-inch wheels. Foglights and auto-dimming mirrors provide extra help at night. The 2007 Tundra DW offers two rows of seating with four conventional doors, with the standard 6.5-foot-long bed or optional 8-foot-long version. Rear seats split-fold, and a manual sliding window opens onto the bed. A full complement of luxury features comes standard, including a complete power setup, leather seats, heated seats and mirrors, wheel-mounted cruise and audio controls, a CD changer, remote entry, and a trip computer. Also standard are skid plates and a trailer hitch.
