Once a very modest small SUV, Toyota's RAV4 crossover has grown up.  In a full redesign for 2006, Toyota has done away with the compact Corolla build platform, bringing forth a much larger RAV.  An increased wheelbase and an extra two feet in overall length allow for 20% more interior room, and the RAV4's styling is now more consistent with that of the Highlander and 4Runner.

All RAV4s come equipped with full power accessories, cruise control and privacy glass. The Limited is set apart by 17-inch wheels, a power driver's seat, an in-dash CD changer, power-fold outside mirrors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and dual-zone climate control.  Additional items like leather seats, heated seats, and the rear seat DVD entertainment system are exclusive options this trim.

A 2.4 liter four cylinder engine supplies 166 horsepower and 165 pound-feet of torque, and it is paired with a four-speed automatic transmission.  All 4x2 RAVs are front-wheel drive, and gas mileage is expected at 24/30 mpg.
