Like the 4Runner and the Highlander, the Toyota is also offered with the Sport trim.  This package falls between the base and the Limited with respect to price, but this trim offers a unique presentation.  It is differentiated by 18-inch alloy wheels, fender flares, color-coordinated door handles and a roof rack.  The RAV4 Sport also features a sport-tuned suspension and a more responsive steering system.
All drive trains and engines are available with the Sport.  The entry point for this trim is equipped with two wheel drive and a four cylinder engine.  The 2.4 liter inline four produces 166 horsepower and 165 pound-feet of torque, and it is paired with a four speed automatic transmission.  Torque is sufficient for 1500 pounds in tow, but the V-6 bumps up capacity by 2000 pounds.  The fuel efficiency is best with this engine and drive train combination, rated at 24/30 mpg.
All RAVs have a long list of standard safety features, and side-seat and side-curtain airbags are added to the list for 2007.  Toyota's Star Safety System is also found in all models, providing some extra security with Vehicle Stability Control + Traction Control, and ABS with Electronic Brake-force Distribution and Brake Assist.
