The 2007 Chrysler Pacifica will receive several updates for its forth year of production. Both higher trims and all AWD models will get a new engine and transmission, and every Pacifica now includes side curtain airbags and stability control on the list of standard safety features. The luxurious cabin is now equipped with a new audio system with MP3 compatibility.
The Pacifica come equipped with a variety of luxury and convenience items, including full power accessories, keyless entry, power front seats, air conditioning, and steering wheel audio controls. The Touring package adds a third row of seating, dual zone climate control, a leather-wrapped steering and shifter, and Homelink. Cargo space is pinched from 92 to 80 cubic feet with the addition of the third row seats.
The new power plant is a 4.0 liter DOHC V-6, mated to an upgraded six speed automatic transmission. This engine delivers 255 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque, which is enough power to tow 3500 pounds. The Pacifica is surprisingly fuel efficient for an SUV, with an EPA estimate of 16/24 mpg.
