The front-wheel-drive base trim Pacifica is the entry point for this lineup of Chrysler SUVs.  There are five other models to choose from, thanks to interchangeable drive trains and trims.  For 2007, the Pacifica's front fascia has been restyled, and side curtain airbags become a standard safety feature.  An analog clock is new this year in the base models.
This Pacifica is the only model powered by the old 3.8 liter V-6.  All other models will get a new engine.  The smaller V-6 serves up 200 horsepower, and is mated to a four speed automatic transmission.
The base model includes a new MP3-ready CD audio system, full power accessories, air conditioning, and keyless entry.  This layout offers seating for five, while other models add a third row.  The base Pacific offers the most in the way of cargo space, with 92.2 cubic feet.
The Chrysler Pacifica is a direct competitor of the Nissan Murano, Buick Enclave, and Honda Pilot.
