The 2007 Chrysler Pacifica receives a light styling refresh before entering its fourth model year.  A redesigned front end is the only significant exterior change.  A new MP3-compatible CD player and side curtain airbags are now standard features.
This Pacifica takes one step beyond the entry level model, by adding AWD.  However, this addition brings more than just extra security on slick surfaces.  All AWD models receive a larger engine and more refined transmission.  Under the hood is a new 4.0 liter V-6, which produces 255 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque.  This potent engine is paired with a new six speed automatic transmission.  All 4.0 Pacifica models have an EPA estimate of 16/24 mpg.  
For a mid-size SUV, the Pacifica is quite capable for the long haul.  Towing capacity is 3500 pounds, which is enough for a pop-up or a U-Haul.  The base model offers the most cargo capacity.  There is 92 cubic feet of cargo space due to the absence of the third row seat.
