Housing a more powerful 4.0-liter, 265-hp DOHC V6 and standard 6-speed manual transmission (a 5-speed automatic is optional) and featuring 284 lb-ft of torque, the 2006 Nissan Frontier SE King Cab SB is a rear-wheel drive mid-sized pickup that can tow up to 6500 pounds and carry 34 cubic feet of cargo in its 6-foot bed.  Though it seats four, the rear seats are actually fold-down jump seats and not that comfortable.  Compared to the base XE, the SE features 16-inch alloy wheels and all-season tires, but it offers the 4-wheel ABS brakes, dual front airbags, tire monitor, independent double wishbone front suspension, and electronic brakeforce distribution, to help earn 4 and 5-star crash test ratings.  Traction control and side impact airbags can be added.

The 2006 Frontier SE King Cab SB boosts the standard features as well, equipped with air conditioning, a CD player, a tachometer, and tow hooks, in addition to the intermittent wipers, power outlet, and cupholders. A power package adds power windows, locks, and mirrors, and cruise control is also available.  For the cargo area, you can get a liner, cover, bed extender, and a trailer hitch.  Though gas mileage is a low 15/20 mpg, it's about what owners expect.  They like the V6 power, but wish the cargo bed was a bit bigger.
