2006 Nissan Frontier SE 4dr Crew Cab SB w/automatic Summary
A bigger cabin to comfortably seat four people and a smaller 5-foot cargo bed are the big differences between the 2006 Nissan Frontier SE Crew Cab SB and its King Cab sibling. With more legroom, the Crew Cab is suited for both work and family needs. Rear seats fold down for more space, but the doors open conventionally rather than reverse-hinged. A 265-hp, 4.0-liter DOHC V6 powers the 2006 Frontier SE Crew Cab SB, coupled with either a 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic. The rear-wheel drive pickup runs on 16-inch alloy wheels and all-season tires and features 4-wheel ABS brakes and electronic brakeforce distribution, dual front airbags, an independent double wishbone front suspension, and a tire monitor. Traction control and side airbags for each row are extra.
Air conditioning, a CD player, a tachometer, and a tilt steering wheel upgrade the 2006 Frontier SE Crew Cab from the base XE. It also carries intermittent wipers, a front power outlet, front and underseat storage consoles, cargo tie-downs, and a folding armrest in the backseat. The SE Crew Cab also adds a bedliner. There are more options on the Crew Cab than the King, including a sunroof and security system. Other add-ons include a power package, cruise control, a trailer hitch, bed extender, and a bed cover. Owners like the extra passenger room, easy handling, and overall power of the 2006 Frontier SE Crew Cab SB, but complain about the plastic interior materials and low 18/24 mpg (which is pretty good for a pickup).
