2006 Toyota Tacoma V6 4dr Access Cab 4WD SB w/automatic Summary
After a full redesign for the 2005 model year, Toyota replaced what they called the "Xtra Cab" with the clever new "Access Cab." The Access Cab Tacoma still uses the extended cab layout, but two smaller rear doors have been added to allow for easier entry and exit for back seat passengers.
The Access Cab comes equipped with a full size spare, a composite-lined cargo bed with storage units, a CD player, air conditioning, and a tire pressure monitor. An anti-lock braking system with Toyota's Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and BrakeAssist has been added to all models.
Although a more potent engine became available in 2005, many models retain the modest 2.7 liter inline four. This engine provides 159 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque, which is enough power to tow about 3500 pounds. A four speed automatic transmission guides the power to all four wheels. Tacomas with this engine and drive train setup are also eligible to receive options like Hill-start Assist Control and Downhill Assist Control.
